There is often a lot of confusion regarding the meaning of recycled and recyclable packaging materials.
Recycled content is any material that has already served the use that it was originally intended for and is now being used for something else. For example, a bottle of body milk that is made from empty bottles that we selected from consumers. Recycled content is encouraged as it significantly reduces organisational waste footprints and improves the sustainability profile of a company.
Recyclable products refer to anything that can be recycled after use. For example a PET bottle that is made from virgin plastic we can recycle it and reuse it one, two, three or four times. So recyclable materials are all that we can reuse them.
